PMAY

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is a government-backed housing scheme that aims to provide affordable housing finance to the urban and rural poor community of India. Launched in June 2015, the PMAY scheme provides interest subsidy through Home Loans. The interest subsidy depends on the economic category of the beneficiary and is limited by a maximum cap. Also known as CLSS (Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme) it is available only up to the maximum loan value set for each category.

Beneficiaries can be identified under two economic categories, i.e. LIG (Low Income Group), and EWS (Economically Weaker Section) for interest subsidy benefit transfer. Customers need to meet the minimum eligibility requirements to be able to apply for the benefits under this scheme.
